Semantic web technology is enabling us to address these challenges in a novel way. Applications of the semantic web technologies are all around us in the Internet today. We have heard about social media and semantic search, ontology, etc.

Yijing (Jenna) Zhou is an Enterprise Architect Consultant at DELL Inc. She has a Master's Degree in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer and Information Sciences. She also holds an MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma) from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. Before joining DELL, she had been with Eli Lilly for over 9 years. For the last few years, the majority of her work has involved building semantic capability and master data management. She is also a Program Committee Member for the Bio-Ontology SIG at ISMB (Intelligent System for Molecular Biology) 2009 and 2010 and a Program Committee Member for the ISWC (International Semantic Web Conference) 2009 SWASD (Semantic Web Applications in Scientific Discourse). She is CDMP and CBIP certified (both at Mastery level) and also IASA certified architect.
Chary Tamirisa is an Enterprise Architect Senior Consultant at DELL Inc. He has over twenty eight years of software engineering experience. His current interests are in the areas of data analytics, business intelligence and semantic web technologies. He is the lead for defining core enterprise services for enterprise application integration and has been instrumental in bringing semantic technologies to solve the information architecture and application integration at Dell. Chary has a Master of Engineering degree in BioInformatics (University of Illinois, Chicago), a Master of Science degree in Computer Science( McGill University, Montreal) and Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering (IIT Chennai). He is an IASA certified architect.
