Sallie Mae is involved in a major initiative to semantically enhance their integration capability. As we performed the analysis we recognized that there were tools needed to help with the sheer volume of distinctions that are made in the many different systems that need to be integrated.\nThese tools draw together metadata from artifacts that describe the different systems and prompt Business Architects to more precisely define them and how to map the transform from one to the other. \nThe tool also considers that in a large scale environment there will be many ontologies, each focused on a different context or part of the overall architecture. The tools draw together needed concepts from multiple different ontologies as part of the analysis.
